Fight through the tears

What counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight - it's the size of the fight in the dog.

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell. - Lance Armstrong

I spoke with my friend today regarding her husband, my friend with cancer in his lungs and brain. She told me that he in the "final stages." When I heard the news the lump in my throat could be felt in my knees as I sank to the floor.

We had a really good chat. Both of my friends are hanging in there. J began radiation treatment yesterday and will continue for several weeks.

Not one person has given up their faith. We all believe J will be healed - completely! J is going to fight like "h-e-double hockey sticks!!!!" D, his wife, will be right by his side cheering him on...as will the rest of his family and friends.

J has radiation Monday through Friday at 11:15am. Please think of them and pray for them at that time...every day. Please pray that the radiation not just shrinks the tumors but makes them totally disappear. Please pray for strength for J to fight the disease and for blessings to rain down on my friends and their family.

Peaceful blessings to all...

I learned how to make "buttons" today. If you would like to use it as a reminder to pray for my friend...please do. Or, please just use it as a reminder to pray when you see it. Thank you!!

  1. I am so sorry to read your sad news. I will keep your friends and you in my prayers. Having a loving wife and friends to love and support him, and also to laugh with him at this time is to important. My sister's husband passed away in 2006, and the one thing he said that was so important to him, was to see those around him smiling and laughing. Laughter is such good medicine. I will also put your "button" on my blog. I am so proud of you, that you learned how to do that.
