Take Time

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn. - Elizabeth Lawrence

I've been watching the leaves turn at this cemetery all Autumn.
The cemetery is located just off the freeway so I love when the light turns red and I can sit and admire the beauty.

I succombed to its enchantment the other day and found the entrance.
I think I spent about an hour wandering around and clicking here and there.

The leaves covered the ground yet clung to the trees.
It was more than beautiful.
I thought it to be a gorgeous final resting place.

  1. Old cemetarys are great places to wander. great shot of the cross. I was born and raised in Savannah GA and there is a cemetary there that the graves are 300 years old. talk about enchanting. it is full of old oaks and moss and is on the Savannah River.

  2. They are peaceful and thought-provoking places, aren't they! Last summer I took a friend to the Army hospital at Fort Harrison and while waiting for him spent a couple hours walking through the military cemetery there, paying my respect to those resting there, so many, sadly, younger than myself.

  4. Beautiful shot of the cross. I agree, walking through a cemetary can be very peaceful and thought provoking. To Sandra, I visited that cemetary in Savannah, last year, it is an amazing place, with very large grave markers. I took many photos there.
