My Buddy

The difference between friends and pets is that friends we allow into our company, pets we allow into our solitude. - Robert Brault, http://www.robertbrault.com/

My new found responsibilities have taken a toll on me.
I suppose I knew it would - though I didn't want to admit it.

A couple of weeks ago I realized I needed a break so headed to the country with Doogie.
For some reason farmland calms my soul.
Having Doogie howling at every "click" stop - not so much.

Doogie eventually settled down a bit and started to enjoy the fresh air and the view...enough that I think I'll actually take him out with me again.

PS: A few of you have asked how I am feeling. Thank you for your concern, thoughts and prayers.
I am feeling much better - with no hospital stay!

  2. I hope today finds you even better than yesterday. your story of Doogie and the howling made me smile. We took baby girl to the vet this week, and each time we stopped for a traffic signal or to make a turn, she made this loud, very loud whining noise, she was saying, do NOT stop the car, as long as we were rolling, no noise, come to a stop and WHINE...

  4. Awesome photo. I love dogs and enjoy having photos of mine as well. Everytime I think I'm making a little progress with my photography, I look at your photos and realize I have a loooong way to go! I need more practice and knowledge. I'll get there eventually. I'm enjoying the process. Thanks for the inspiration!

  6. I really doubt that you could get any better company than Doogie! We have had dogs with us now for over 35 years, and I have constantly found them to be excellent company and more understanding and loving than most of the people I've known. Going to the country with Doogie was a very good idea!

  7. Ohh my god Stacey, I'm so so sorry I've missed out so much. Gladd to read your feeling better (just scrolled down to see what was wrong with you). I'm gladd Doogie had perked you up while you were out on the country side enjoying yourself.

Does he keep good now a days in the car??? I"m curious.
Hang in there girl and be blessed.
    Hugs Dagmar
