The goal to change

The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer. - Author Unknown

I read literally and figuratively.  I see words on a page and let them filter through my brain, sift through my soul and flood my being with definition.

I do the same thing when clicking images and again when I edit and review them to post, print or frame.  I peer into my images. I search for interpretation, light, hope, meaning.  I let my images change me.  I let them lift me up.  I let them encourage me to dream, to improve, and to be more of what I believe God wants me to be.

  4. your words are wonderful. I wish i had your ability to write what i think and feel. I use others quotes becasue when I read them, it is what i feel. when i read your words, i know i have the same feelings, I just can't put them into words. I read these words twice and your comments about the photos are just what i feel. thank you

  5. Well, these are just wonderful and thought provoking thoughts to ponder on during the day. Being open to change, it's hard the older you get, isn't it? But you have taken different things that I never thought of that can help us change. Kind of reminds me of that saying "You can't change others or the world, only yourself", that's not an exact quote. I see from this that I need to look for things in my life that can help me change my attitude and perspective. Hmm...you need to write a self help book, I'd be the first to buy it! Stunning photograph. Buds look like grape hyacinth...but the flowers maybe not, some kind of bluebells? But they are not widespread.
