In Searching

If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double dahlias in his garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi desert.

He will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button that has rolled under the radiator.

He will not be striving for it as a goal in itself.

He will have become aware that he is happy in the course of living life twenty-four crowded hours of the day. -W. Beran Wolfe

  4. Very true comments!! Happiness is not a constant thing and never can be, it flys to and fro during our lives. But joy abides and is an inner peace.

  5. Amen to this! Contentment is one of the greatest blessings of God. Stopping to smell the roses, and slowing down to notice the little things is a wonderful thing. My husband is a master at it and thankfully he has rubbed off on me a bit!

  7. I find myself avoiding damaged plants whether it is from the disease or insects or age or whatever the source and then I see a photo like this and see how you have used it to enhance the photo. Great job. I'll try to be more observant in the future. Thanx for the inspiration.
