Our Future Remains

When all else is lost, the future still remains. - Christian Bovee

Ever felt like all was lost? Truly?? With that hollow devastation deep in your gut?
If you have, you know what I'm referring to.

I've felt the devastated -- broken-hearted -- crushed spirit and deadened hole inside my self.  I've felt all was lost...not for a specific time period, but I felt it for my forever as well.  Everything seemed so bleak and so empty.  What I didn't realize then, and do now, my future remained.

I scanned my memories when I came across this quote saw again how blessed I am.  I know my struggles -- my pain -- my illnesses -- they weren't/aren't for naught.
They have all been for a purpose -- a Divine purpose.

My future remains.
There is hope in that statement.
There is purpose.
There is desire.
There is strength.
There is promise.

I feel it.
I believe it.
I trust it.
I know it.

My future remains.
And, your future remains.
Because of God our future remains.

  2. Your picture is absolutely beautiful. Your quotes made me think of the following:
“When we come to the edge of all of the light we have and we must take a step into the darkness of the unknown we must believe one of two things. Either, we will find something firm to stand on or we will be taught to fly.”
    May our futures be bright.

  3. Everyone has heard of the saying, "its darkest before dawn". No matter how dark and bleak, there is always some light. Liked your photo and thought.

  4. Our future DOES remain, untouched and beautiful. Paul says to count all our sufferings as joy (so hard!) and to press ahead with our eyes on the goal. We know nothing now and see like through a dim glass, but all will be revaeled and bright.

  7. I often think that it could be argued that there is nothing else but the future. The past is now gone and the present is but the doorstep to the future. Yet, we still want to resist change.
