S.O.S.

I'm wondering if I could ask a favor?

Would it be possible for anyone/everyone who reads this to please take a few moments to think about what they like about my work and give me a word (or a statement) that they feel best describes it?

I have some ideas of my own, of course...but would love to get some input as well as things are going to be changing here at Addicted to the Click.

What do you think of when you see my images?
What do you think my style is?
What would you suggest for a brand or a name?

I really would appreciate your thoughts and comments.  Thank you much!

Have  a beautiful day!

  1. You must have done two posts today. I commented on the one below, also. I don't have to think too hard to tell you about your blog. Funny that your last post was about simplicity! Your blog is arranged to be extremly simple, and I mean that in a very good way. Much as I love some of the flashier blogs with lots of music and things all over the sidebar, and special effects, it can take quite a while to see everything, and then concentrate on your thoughts about it. But yours is different from all the others I read. It just screams "Now we are going to calm down and think". And do I ever think. Your blog is done in a way that has a sharp focus on only what you are saying, no distractions except one lovely picture to illustrate your point. Your thoughts and quotes are separated for quick reading and easy assimilation, and are to the point without a lot of added theorizing. So in this way the blog is rather meditative and calming, even when challenging me to use my brain. And the text content, what thought provoking and interesting thoughts, almost like a mini philosophy class! Because your blog is calming and uncluttered, it also helps us to focus and gets our minds racing. Is this more than you wanted to know? I do so go on!

  2. i think your work has a spiritual approach to life, with a moral or religious nature to it, using nature and your skills as a photographer.you like things relating to the mind or to our intellectual sides of our natures. also you like to inspire and write inspirational words to go with your work. hope this helps with what you are planning

  3. Well that's an interesting question. Your images speak to me of nature.. usually tight close up glimpses of nature. I think of simplicity, poetic, colourful, encouragement and self-expression when I think of your blog. Are you looking to change blog names? Or perhaps you're looking to place your work in a book?

How about The Dawning of Stacey Dawn?

  4. Am I the first to dive into this heavy-duty request?

"Sensuous" is the first word that comes to me when I look at your pictures...I can always catch the finest hairs on a petal which means you have the finest of cameras for the finest of nature's details. "Sensitive" is another word I would apply to your work...feminine, tender, soft-hearted might also be appropriate.
You take the viewer to the heart of living things, opening its secrets with the eyes of a close-up lens.

  6. Hello Stacey Dawn!

Your photos are very inspirational to me. I love looking at the light and colors and trying to think of what settings you were using on your camera. Your thoughts and words always seem from the heart. I don't know if I can pick a particular 'style' or 'brand'. I just know you always get me thinking. Which I think is good!

I enjoy your blog so much I actually would like to pass on a blog award to you. Pop over and pick it up. If you are busy or have done this one before ~ not to worry ~ I think you are terrific and am so glad I found you in the world of blogging! I look forward to what ever new ideas you have in the works for us! :)

    Have a most lovely evening!

  7. I would say that what I like about your blog is that you share beauty on a very up-close and personal level in both verse and image.

I love everything about them!!! Love how you connect the photo with the quote and then tie in your wordage, which is so full of thought, insight, love, emphathy, gut feelings.

However, I do want you to know that just because I am your mommy, I am in no way prejudice. Well, maybe a tad, but I do truly think they are powerful, full of pure talent, and can hardly wait for my copy of the Coffee Table book!!! xxoo

  10. Dreamy, reflective, peaceful, inspiring, eloquent, spiritual, sensitive, were the first words that come to mind. Your photography comes from your whole self... heart, soul and spirit!

  11. Me again! Do not 'cringe' about not participating in tags or awards ~ I totally understand! They are a lot of work and are very hard to pass on as you always feel so bad that you are leaving someone out! You are being true to yourself and your blog ~ that is a very good thing! :)

Have a very wonderful day Stacey Dawn!

  13. I almost didn't see this request! I love your work too...the rich color and beautiful detail. I also like the simplicity of your blog, but love the frames around each picture. It sets them off as artwork, which they are. And the name...perfect, because i am addicted to the click too!

  14. I know this is late and most of your decisions have probably been made. But I agree with what others have said. I enjoy the pure beauty of your images and there is a very spiritual approach to them and your words help to convey that message. I enjoy your photos as well on a professional level as something that I hope I am doing and conveying in my own images. I wish I had your eloquence with words though. Keep up the good job and I look forward to visiting again soon, now that I am finally getting caught up from my brief interlude without internet.
