I Smiled and Meant it

If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it. - Andy Rooney

About a week ago I was facing a rather long drive home.  The distance wasn't the issue; the lack of energy to steer the car was.  However, about one mile into my drive God gave me a present, followed by this scene.

A huge smile spread across my face.
Exclamations of joy came from my throat. (I'm sure Doogie thought I had gone crazy!)
My eyes, I could feel, lit up like a Christmas tree.

I was astounded by the sight - by the colors - by the spiritual moment God gave me.
My energy came springing back.
The heavy tired feeling simply vanished.
I was high on the beauty He alone created.

Happy Sunday to you.
I pray you receive your own special gift from God
PS:  I did bump the saturation a touch - just to ensure the image is exactly what I saw.  I left the streaks of the car lights in to remind myself I was at a stoplight when I took this!!)

  3. Stacey, it is breathtaking and I know exactly how you felt as you will see on my post today, very similar feelings. and it is so true about smiling when alone. my dogs make me smile and laugh out loud just for my own pleasure. God's creation makes me giddy when He shows a scene like this one. on our walkabout yesterday Judy and I could not stop smiling at the sun shining on everything we saw. and it was all free and wonderful. I am so happy for you that God gave you this gift.

  7. Absolutly beautiful! I see you are like me, looking for God's reminders that things will be O.K. and showing us something just at the right time to uplift us. I have had this happen to me before, and it always amazes me and I'm always on the lookout. He is the ultimate artist.

  11. I love everything about this. I especially like the movement of the rapid movement of the cars against the still, serene sky. God is good!

  14. I often look up and remind myself that "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." What an awesome reminder of who God really is! I'm glad you smiled!
