In Beautiful Remembrance

Man's feelings are always purest and most glowing in the hour of meeting and of farewell. - Jean Paul Richter

My friend, Robert, was laid to rest last week at his requested spot..... the beach at low tide. This is the place where he and his two boys would spend hours playing together many years ago.

It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining. The water was peaceful. The beach was quiet.

Robert's beloved Hospice nurse read a few beautifully written lines. And, as Rob asked, I defined what I believed Divine Intervention to be:

Divine Intervention, to me, is what God had done for Rob and I. God brought the two of us together to help each other during difficult times in our lives. Healing, peace, friendship and love was brought into our hearts in ways neither one of us would have experienced had we not connected.

I'm happy Rob's at peace, though I miss him very much. I carry him tucked in my heart where other very special people remain once they pass through my life.

PS: The Peaceful Pillow Fern Water Burial Urn that we used for Robert's cremains can be found here. It is a Biodegradable Urn. They have several styles and are very beautiful. I'm so thankful to Rob's nurse for finding this for him. I think it was a perfect Memorial for him.
