A million little things

Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things.  - Author Unknown

Blessings come in all shapes, sizes and varieties. Here's two recent examples I cherish:

1) I called my Mom yesterday to tell her about my surprise visitor. She about yelled into the phone, "You're RICH!" And, she's right. I'm rich with the blessing of friendship. The visit yesterday was from my friend and her son. They entered my home with three bags of groceries. GOOD groceries - including Reese's peanut butter cups! I am still in awe at her family's generosity. I shouldn't be though - she's always been a sweet, and generous friend. However, this was truly a surprise gift and blessing! I still don't know if she quite understands how much it meant to me. Thank you, Lisa (and N!)

2) This gorgeous Gerber Daisy (pictured) was among the spectacular bouquet delivered to me after my surgery. Diane (and Jed) know my "addiction" to taking pictures so insisted that the bouquet be uniquely diverse so that I could take each flower out and capture it's beauty in a "million" different ways. (Which I did, over 600 times! That's no joke, either. I played with lighting, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc... with each and every stem, piece of greenery, and grouping. It was FUN - and since parts of the bouquet lasted for a whole month I had many opportunities to play. (Whoo hoo!)

So, please tell me, how have your friends been a blessing to you lately?
