Every Day

Every day I wake, up stretch my bones and thank God for His goodness.

Every day I arouse Doogie from his cuddled up position and carry him down the stairs for his morning potty stop and breakfast.

Every day I make myself something hot to drink, cuddle up in a soft blanket, and lift Doogie to my lap.

Every day I write in my gratitude journal, read my devotional, my daily scripture and have a chat with God.

Every day I breathe deep and focus on the positive.

Every day I try to see beyond the past and see the me that God would have me to be.

Every day I do my best to heal, to grow, to learn, to be of help.

Every day I notice the sounds of life around me, the scent in the air, the feel of what is underneath me, the sight of the world outside my window.

Every day I am...

STOP.

PS: I'm a day late in participating in The Gypsy Mama's Five Minutes Friday. The topic this week was "Every Day." Please visit http://thegypsymama.com/ to see more Five Minute Friday participants.
