The Future

I know not what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. - Author Unknown

My 2012 calendars are being printed by a professional Print Shop! I was shown the proof yesterday and am beyond thrilled! I still can't wipe the smile off my face. I can now call myself an Artist.

One would think this news would have been the highlight of my day. It wasn't.

The highlight came when the Printer told me a fellow customer saw my calendar on their counter, looked through it, read the Bible verses I have on each image and asked about them.

In short, the Printer told me my calendar was used as a witness for Jesus.

I am so humbled. I'm in awe that God could use me and the gifts He gave me in such a manner.

Me. The imperfect, wounded, scarred, sinner that has made shameful mistakes. I've felt sure that I had let God (and my parents) down in such a big way.

However, forgiveness and grace are awesome things.

I'm living proof that through grace, God forgives. My ashes of the past are being turned into beauty for my future.

I can think of no greater gift than to be used to further His kingdom and His glory this Christmas season. Thank you, Jesus!

PPSS: Thank you, Mom - for the gift of these tulips. Thank you for allowing me to "set up shop" in the middle of your dining room to take this picture. Thank you for encouraging me to contact this particular print shop for the printing of my calendar. Thank you for believing in my dreams and allowing me "just a minute" to grab my camera each and every time you see the "light" go on in my eyes. I ♥ U, appreciate you and thank God for you - so very much.
