No more waiting!

Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite. Or waiting around for Friday night or waiting perhaps for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil or a better break or a string of pearls or a pair of pants or a wig with curls or another chance. Everyone is just waiting. - Dr. Seuss

Today's prompt for Five Minute Friday is Empty.

However, when I think of "empty" I think of "waiting to be filled."

I've been waiting to be filled for a long time it seems.

The other day I came across a couple of blogs (I wish I had saved them for future reference!) that listed their "bucket" or "life" lists.

I got to thinking and began my own "life" list:  things I would love to experience/try/do during my life time.

Some things are simple and accessible while others are going to take a bit more planning and saving of financial resources before I can even think to cross them off of my list.

I do get to cross one thing off next week, if my lungs are clear and I can breathe!  It's Zumba!  The fitness dance activity that I've heard so much about.  I love to dance and believe this will be make sure every cell within my being comes alive.

How about you?  Do you have a bucket or life list?  What's on it?  (I'll be sharing more of mine soon.)

Until next time...

  1. I love bucket list...I've made several over the years....

I like your idea of the dance class...that sounds like fun...Maybe I need to add that to mine.....

I just want to loose some weight before spring..hahaha

  2. I hope you get to dance all cares needs to be lived to the fullest.

  3. Thank you! Saying Hello from the Gypsy Momma's link up. You have a beautiful blog. one of the things on my "bucket list" is to travel the west coast line!

  4. My bucket list is very long and yes it does have a dance class in it. Glad to have you visiting my blog. I like your perspective of writing.

  5. Oh, if I got started with the Bucket List, I would go on and on...a trip to Maine, and Boston, and Ireland. Sight & Sound theatre. More quiet evenings at home with Phil...but I don't daydream or think about it that much because I would not be as content with what I already have. Now if you can make them come true, that's another thing!! The Zumba, I like the sound of it, you will have to tell us more...

  6. I do have a bucket list but I haven't looked at it or revised it for quite some time. You have inspired me to do so.

I have Zumba for the wii! It's lots of fun and does get you blood pumping.

Good luck on your lungs being clear sweet friend!

  7. "Waiting to be filled"- sounds so much better than empty! I think I might have to adopt this one:)

  8. i don't have a list, but if i were making one of things i would love to do but never will..
visit AZ, Wyoming, all the cowboy states, TEXAS did i say all the cowboy states?
my list would be traveling but that is not going to happen so i am trying to think of a desire that would be doable. can't right now, will come back if my brain kicks in

  9. I do not think of bucket lists often...maybe I should...I want to live to see my grandkids when I have them:)

  10. Woohoo, your gonna love Zumba...I have a friend who teaches it.

Dance sister, dance...wake up those cells.

I do have some things I've always wanted to see or do and I believe that I'll get~'er~done!!!

May God bless your weekend sweetie!

    Prayin' for those lungs....

  11. i am trying to get me and 9 other people (my family) to heaven

  12. Dear Stacy,

I like your thought that empty is waiting to be filled. Indeed the Lord does want to fill our lives with more of Himself and the good and perfect gifts that He graciously gives us.

  13. I just sort of started a bucket list...mostly places in the US that I would like to see...waterfalls, the desert, mountains and the big sky country...any animals and plants that are unusual are a bonus! hope you feel better soon!

  14. I've never made a bucket list.. perhaps the first item on mine would be to make one. Enjoy Zumba!
