Hallelujah!

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay... Matthew 28:6 KJV

My eyes leak as I write this post and think about the meaning of Easter.

Easter has been my second least favorite holiday (my whole life) because I have felt unworthy of what Jesus did for me. The beatings, the humiliation, the Crucifixion, the piercings...

He endured those things because of me and for me. I can't believe I can say this let alone write this.  It's another miracle that has taken place inside my soul.

It's been a long time in coming, but I finally believe I am loved by God, just as I am.  I have asked for, received and accepted forgiveness for my sins (yes, even those).

I made a choice a few years ago to pursue a relationship with Christ. It's been a process and a progression.  I'm still growing.  I'm still learning.  I always will be and that creates excitement within my heart.

I've been through hellish times, just as the Bible says.  However, I now know that God is good all the time.  And, all the time (through sickness, death, financial hardship, abuse, abandonment, pain) - God is good.

I can now see how He was there with me through my most painful times - even when I did not feel Him near.  He helped me to survive and is teaching me to thrive.

The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances. ~Robert Flatt

I was created on purpose and for a purpose.  I can honestly say I believe that now, too.  Jesus died to ensure that my purpose (and your purpose) would be fulfilled.

We each have our own paths, our own challenges, strengths, weaknesses, "living hell..."

But it is through His grace and mercy and love that He carries us, guides us and brings us through.

Jesus loves you.  Jesus loves me.
Just as you are, right now.  Just as I am, right now.

He gave His life for you.
He gave His life for me.

He did this knowing all along how we would live our lives long after He died and rose again to give us Life eternally.

It's so hard to comprehend that sometimes.  It really is.  I hope you'll take a minute and think on this and let the thoughts and feelings sift down into your heart.  He arose for you.  Feel it.  It's a powerful thing.

PSPSPS:  Thank You God, for sending Jesus for me and for my finally getting it. You have my heart.
