Taking Another Risk

To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself. - Soren Kierkegaard

Sometimes when I am absent from blogging it is because I am in a healing mode.  I'm thinking, praying, reading, reaching, growing and learning.  I'm striving to become the person God wants me to be.

Why not go out on a limb? Isn't that where the fruit is? - Frank Scully

Other times when I am away from blogging, it is because so many things are swirling around in my mind that I can't get the thoughts from my brain to flow through my fingers onto my keyboard.

If you're never scared or embarrassed or hurt, it means you never take any chances.  - Julia Sorel (Rosalyn Drexler), See How She Runs, 1978

And yet, there are times when fear of what I want to say, fear of how I'll be perceived... keeps me stopped dead in my tracks.  The fear paralyzes me.  I can barely breathe.  I dare not to think.  I dare not dream.

The more chance there is of stubbing your toe, the more chance you have of stepping into success.  - Author Unknown

However, today... today is a day that I throw back the cover of fear and take a risk.  Today is the day I try to bare my soul to a trusted individual in order to find the grace, healing and mercy I so need  in order to take the next step in becoming the person God wants me to be.

I feel prompted to take another risk to put my work out into the world.  By doing this, so many doors can be opened.  Challenges may also knock at my proverbial door.

However, I desire to be used by God.  I have been blessed with this time to heal from the pain of my past.  I thank Him so much for that.   And now, it's time to step out and risk.

I'll be sharing more... later.

Wishing you a day filled with God's peace, joy and inspiration!

PSPS:  What do you think of my new header?  Is it garish?  I want a logo type look.... however I don't think it goes with my photography!

PSPS: FYI:   I will soon be switching my domain name to http://www.dawninginspiration.com
I'd love and appreciate it if you'd follow me there as well.  This domain name will be used for my portfolio only.  Thank you.

  3. I love your quotes!!! The header, it is an image of a kind of dawning. But your photos are so soft and delicate and pretty, the header is quite the opposite of them, So I don't know that it fits your style. It also looks very commercial to me. Just telling you what I think, and I think one of your own photos would make a much better header.

I personally don't think the header fits with your photography, it seems very different. There...'nuff said!

  5. It's always good to find you here. I think of softness when I visit and somehow your banner doesn't quite convey that message.

  6. Good luck with the chances you take. Without them, we remain stagnant.

I have to agree with the others about the logo. It's not what I think of when I think of your work. Why not incorporate one of your beautiful photos into a header?
