I'm gonna miss these:

Goodbyes are not forever.

Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I'll miss you
Until we meet again!  -  Author Unknown

I can't seem to get enough of these pink tulips and the enjoyment they've given me right outside my back window.  Their color just wakes me up and says "Hello!"

They've begun to get a bit crispy looking in the past few weeks.  Their petals have curled and most of them have now dropped to the ground.  It's a bit sad, really.

I will miss them.  But oh, how I will appreciate them when they return next year!

Unofficially, Summer begins this weekend ... with all it's excitement and (hopefully) beautiful weather.  Is there anything you'll miss now that Spring is nearing its end?

  1. these are beautiful and i would miss them if they were mine. nothing here that i will miss, since there are blooms all year long. but what i will miss is the past 8 months of wonderful weather, no ac/heat needed but now summer is blasting us with heat and the AC is ON. i will miss the low light bills for sure.

  2. Those Tulips are a lovely colour. What will I miss from spring? I think it might be the pleasant temperatures and lack of bugs.

  5. Sorry, don't know what went wrong, but my comment was posted three times.

  6. Beautiful even after their prime!
Our tulips left us a few weeks ago.
I wish you a wonderful week ahead!

  7. Things are beginning to bloom here like the poppies and the irises. All the changes have their own beauty.

  8. I really miss the flowers in the winter, more each year. I find that I need them more and more as I get older. Maybe I just want to suck in their beauty and life. One good thing, once one kind of flower is gone, there is another kind blooming. But I am sad to see my favorites gone, like you are with the tulips. I hate to see the poppies go!

  9. I sure miss mine. A head of cattle trampled on mine when the ground was soft and they did not return this spring. I shall begin anew!!!

I always feel the flowerin' trees and bushes pass way to fast but I'm ready to jump in the pool and officially begin summer. Woohoo!!!

Your pictures are always amazin' girl...you are truly blessed with the gift!

God bless and have a fantastic day sweetie!!! :o)

  10. I like your thoughts about goodbyes...I will miss them too...the tulips are beautiful

  11. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. I do wish they lasted longer.
I look forward to warm days and nights but not the hot about to come. As Sandra said low electric bills will be a thing of the past.
I won't miss the high pollen count of Spring. I am looking forward to saying goodbye to my itchy and drippy eyes and tingling nose.
Beautiful photo Stacy. Wishing you smiling goodbyes and smiling hellos.

  12. Yes, it's sad when the tulips go, but they will be replaced by other flowers.

  13. Your tulips are so pretty! The few tulips I have in my garden got a touch of frost last night. :(

I guess they will be back next year.

    Have a happy weekend!
    xo Catherine

  14. They're beautiful! Most of our spring flowers are all gone - summer arrived in our neighborhood a few weeks ago. Sigh.

  15. I will miss the spring flowers too...summer flowers are nice, but spring flowers are so delicate!

  16. Good morning Stacey. Your tulips are so beautiful. I can see why you miss them so.
I really miss the lyliacs when they go. I love there beauty and fragrance so much.
I really like the quote you shared as well.
    Have a most wondergul day.
    Hugs, Dianne :)

  17. Lovely tulips to cheer you each day. They will indeed be back. I won't miss spring because summer is my best season. Ask me again as autumn approaches. ;)
