Oh, such Power!

The cyclone derives its powers from a calm center. So does a person.   - Norman Vincent Peale

There once was a little girl standing in a corner between a window and a bed.
Fear and confusion gripped her tight as she clutched the doll in her arms.

A call came from the dining room announcing dinner.
Feelings stuffed down and the doll put away, she went to the kitchen table.

That man was there.
The man that would never know how badly he hurt her.

Fast Forward...

There once was a face in the mirror who looked like a young lady.
Deep inside she felt the eyes of the little girl staring back at her.

The young one yearned to know why she hadn't been protected
And craved to understand why she wasn't deserving of rescue.

Fast Forward...

There once was a woman who seemingly wore a mask.
The eyes of the little girl peered at her from behind the plastic.

Getting dressed in grown up clothes, she attended a service where Psalm 91 was read.
Each word from that passage punctured her heart and she again wondered why she hadn't been worth saving.

The teacher asked every one to move to find our Refuge in the quiet.
The song below was sung, over and over and over.

"Break Every Chainhttp://youtu.be/b6ncg2pLYks

The Name of Jesus escaped from her lips, barely audible to her ears.
Kneeling by the chair, she chose by faith to put her trust in Jesus even though she may never have answers to the questions of her past.

Within a few minutes, Jesus was in the bedroom of yesteryear.
He picked up the little girl and carried her out the front door and forever away from the past that hurt her.

Fast Forward...

This is a true story.  I'm living proof that there is amazing power in the Name of Jesus.  If you have questions, ask me.  I'll email you my reply.

  4. Me again, I think the words would have been better, had I written, "I too, for a very different reason, know the power in the name of JESUS. There is only 1 way to come to Him, through his Grace/Blood/Cross. We all come to HIM for our individual reasons, the importance is that we have done so. Again, such a heartfelt sharing. Thank you.

  8. What a beautiful testimony this is to the power in His name. We often forget the power that it packs just by wisperin' the name of Jesus.

We each are so important and worthy that He gave His life for us. We must remember that when we're feelin' down 'bout things.

This was so wonderfully written sweetie, I felt your heart.

God bless and have an awesome kinda day my friend! :o)
