Thanksgiving Gratitude

If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it's as though I've neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up. -  Richard Avedon

Richard Avedon spoke for me when he made the above statement.  He just didn't know it at the time!

There's been a gaping hole in me since my beloved Rebel died.

However, after months of research, camera holding, searching, selling of belongings, saving money, and yeah, trial and error.... I got me a new baby.  And, I'm in love.... with my new Canon 60D.

It's a step up from my Rebel so it will push me technically and creatively yet still light enough for me to carry around when I have illness flares.

I am giddy with excitement although a tad overwhelmed at the learning I have get to do.  Truthfully, I'm enjoying the Program and Auto mode because it's allowing me to get back to my addiction of  "click," "click," "click!"

Soon, I will turn the dials and learn.  But not today!

Blessings to you and yours this Thanksgiving (in the USA).

Here is my prayer for you all:

  • May blessings be showered upon you.
  • May you be warm and dry and have food to eat.
  • May gratitude seep from your pores for all that you have and what you have not.
  • But most of all, may Christ's love seep into every nook and cranny of your very being because you are exactly who you are - right here and right now.

To a beloved Aunt and Uncle:  Thank you!  Those words are not adequate enough to express my love and gratitude for the blessings, love and generosity you've shared with me.  I'm so grateful to share my creative passions with you.  Much - much love.  Always!
