I'm RICH!!

I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family he's rich. - Dan Wilcox and Theo Mumford, "Identity Crisis," M*A*S*H

In a world gone mad with texting, emailing and abbreviated tweets, hearing a voice on the other end of the phone has become a priceless commodity for those who used to live by it.

The sound of one's voice cannot be heard in a text or email.
Inflection and emotion of love, laughter or tears and fear cannot really be truly detected.

I encourage you today to pick up the phone and call someone you haven't spoken to in a while.
Call them - hear their voice and let them hear yours.

I dare you to tell me it didn't make you feel closer to them and bring a smile to your face.
In fact, I double dare you.

  1. I don't tweet and rarely text except to pass on information, so the phone and voices fill my days. it was fun to hear your voice when we spoke...I can hear it reading your posts! Have a great weekend!

  2. I'm not a tweeter either and do enjoy long distance calls with friends. So good to see you here again.

  3. glad you talked to your family, i agree with this. i don't tweet or text but i also very rarely talk on the phone. great idea to call someone.

  4. Such true words Stacey! I don't tweet, but I do email and text. I've never really liked talking on the phone but it is a special treat to hear the voice of someone you love and haven't talked to in awhile.

Hope you are well my friend!
