Such Anticipation!

One of the most delightful things about a garden is the anticipation it provides. ~W.E. Johns, The Passing Show

The rains pour down like the emptying of buckets.

The winds knock the wreath on my door and Doogie barks every time thinking someone is here.

Trees are showing their tiny buds of what is to come - blooms, new growth, new life.

I found this birds nest and can only imagine its new owner's welcoming each other home in a few short months.

I love this time of year.

The holiday pressure is over.  The days are are filled with inches of more daylight.  Green and red sprouts are springing up to tempt and tease with the beauty and hope of the Spring to come.

Blessings to you all today.  May you feel hope, love and anticipation of all the good that is yet to come.

  1. Spring is a long way off for us, but you make it sound as if it's just around the corner. I can handle that.

  3. I love the hints of Spring. Not much is happening around here in "Sunny" California yet.
We are about to go into mandatory water rationing. No rain and the resevoirs are so low it really is scary.
    So
I look to the beauty you talk about and eagerly await new life.
