The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11

This week's Five Minute Friday prompt from Lisa Jo is:  close.

My heart longs for a good, solid Christian man to be close a forever way.
One that I can trust with my heart, and literally all of me.

I thought I had that in my last relationship.

It turns out I didn't.

And, even though I know the reasons for his leaving haunt him in ways only He can resolve, it doesn't make the loss any less painful.

As I come to terms with this loss and prepare myself for my future I find myself fighting inside my soul with Jesus being enough to fill the void this man left behind.

I found this verse above and am leaning heavily upon it.

I saw something online this week that said "God made the universe, He can handle this, too."

It reminded me that if God can create something as miraculous and complicated as this world and us humans, He can handle my future.

I wrote here this week, too.

  1. Beautiful, " she is clothed with strength and dignity". Get a grip you beautiful sister in Christ....Get a grip on HOPE!!!

    1. Amy, I'm not really sure how to take your comment - but I thank you. I am learning to hold on to hope more than ever these days. If you see this... I encourage you to watch the you tube video I posted at the bottom of my blog. It's on healing a broken heart and how God does not expect His children to always be smiling and happy. It also reminded me that there is a season for everything....including mourning, feeling sad, grieving. (see Ecc 3:4). Many blessings to you!

  2. Happy weekend Stacey!
    xo Catherine

    1. Thank you, Ruth. I know He will. In time. In His time.

  4. stunning tulip photo... and I pray now for God to send you someone to love or to give you the strength to be happy alone.

  5. You continue to be in my prayers....

  6. Amen Stacey.
God does know your hearts desire.
After all as the verses say, he created the entire universe and everything in it and said it was GOOD!
And so, you are too. He wants only HIS best for you....don't know what that is but keep leaning and trusting. HE wants the rest of your life to be the best of your life. I believe that...Sue
