I've been Wooed!

This afternoon I curled up with a book called "Captivating," by John and Stasi Eldridge.

I flipped through the book until a section caught my eye.

The words on the page had me pausing to stop and have a conversation with God.  I asked Him to give me a gift like He had given Stasi... I wanted to be "wooed," too.

I, right this very second, am staring at my gift from God.

It's a dragonfly.  And, it's HUGE!  It's about 4 inches in length.

Normally these precious creatures flit and fly about without much pausing.

This gift, however, has been outside my window for close to an hour.  Sunlight has kissed its delicate and lacy wings.  It's beautiful!

Seriously, is there a better way to end the day than staring out at a blue sky with your very own uniquely special gift from God directly in view?

I think most definitely..... NOT.

Goosebumps JUST shot through me as my little friend fluttered its wings.

Instinctively I knew it was saying "good-bye."  I quickly uttered my thanks to God and to this little friend for spending the evening with me.  And then.... it flew.... away.

Happy Sigh.
