R-E-L-I-E-F (Five Minute Friday)

This week's Five Minute Friday prompt is:  Relief

Just seeing the word "relief" brings to mind the tummy acid commercial from back in my youth..."How do you spell relief?  R-O-L....."

Anyone remember that?

Well, I wish those little chalk like chewable tablets would provide me with the relief I so desperately long for.

I'm eyebrow deep in muck and mire of healing from issues from my past.

Unfortunately, some loved ones in my life have kicked me in the teeth, the rear, my gut and my heart by wounding me with actions and words in ways I never thought possible.

The stress level I feel is beyond higher than high.

I have been struggling on how to cope as I feel isolated and more than extremely alone.  There isn't anyone that understands (I don't believe), except for God.  And well, I am struggling to hear from Him right now.  I fear even He won't want me and my baggage.

The only relief I believe I will feel is when He calls me home.  And, oh!  How I want to go home... to Heaven. NOW.

.....

I can't write anymore.

I'm stuck on the words "relief" equaling "home."

So - the rebel in me is stopping before the five minutes are up.

Happy Weekend all....

If you feel like praying for me, I would appreciate your prayers.

Thank you.

  2. God ALWAYS wants us and our baggage. Never be concerned about that girl. :) He will always take you in.

Know that, even if you feel far from him, if you seek after him he is right beside you all the way. :)

Seek him. Know him. trust that he is there. :)

  4. I am praying for you too. I have needed relief too, we are moving and selling our house. A friend sent me the verse about being " hemmed" in by God. It has brought me much comfort. He never gives up on you, His love is never ending.

  5. Hi...I am praying for you too.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
I have kept this verse in my heart these past few years. God hears your prayers...I know He hears mine too.
