Pulled to Write

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery while on a detour. ~Author Unknown

My blog is pulling me to write tonight.

It's been a really, REALLY rough day.  Thoughts that haven't entered my mind in a long time have churned away all day long.

This Bible verse from Psalm 37:4 (KJV), " Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" has popped into my head.

During prayer a couple of nights ago I asked God to remove all desires from my heart that were not from Him and to replace those desires with ONLY the desires He wants me to have.

As a PSA (Public Service Announcement), be very careful what you ask for if you aren't prepared to receive it.

God's ways are so much higher than ours.  I know He sees the big picture and knows the why's and how's and etc.

But Boy Howdy!  God through me for a loop when He revealed to me a desire that wasn't really anywhere near the forefront of my mind.

I'm not ready to put it out in the world yet.

However, this reveal from God has sent me to scour the internet for help in understanding.

I'm just realizing my next prayer needs to be for God to direct my steps in the ways in which He would have me go.

Side note:  I'm surprised at what I have written here.  I've been deep in grief for a while now and this topic was the last thing I thought I'd write about when the pull came to grab my laptop and type away.
I've relearned that life goes on even when you want the world to stop so you can catch your breath, heal and find a new footing.

Please, raise up your metaphorical glass with me if you will to toast with me:

Here's to grief and the lessons it teaches you as you struggle to wave through it.

Here's to the love that was lost and the fighting spirit I gave to try and keep it.

Here's to the blessings that are found each and every day no matter what season of life I find myself in.

And, Here's to prayer - my lifeline to The Trinity (God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit) Who answers prayer and leads me through all that will come my way.

May you be richly blessed.
